Age- and education-stratified normative values for TMT Parts A and B, based on Tombaugh (2004). Enter your client's age, education level, and completion time(s) to obtain z scores, estimated percentiles, and Tombaugh Table 3 percentile bands.
Norms cover ages 18–89 years.
Required for clients aged 55 or older. Select 13+ years if the client completed more than 12 years of education.
Important Interpretation Information:
Longer completion times indicate poorer performance. The z score is performance-oriented — a negative z score means the client was slower than the normative mean. Percentile estimates are derived from the normative cell mean and SD using the normal distribution and may differ slightly from Tombaugh's printed Table 3 values because the underlying distributions are not perfectly normal. The Tombaugh percentile band is based directly on Table 3 of Tombaugh (2004) and represents the decile band within which the raw score falls.
